Description

This is a great opportunity to become part of our administrative team based at Europe's largest onshore oilfield at Wytch Farm, Dorset.


Wytch Farm produces from 12 remote well sites, via infield flow lines to a central oil & gas gathering station, where separation, stabilisation, water injection, gas compression/drying/fractionation, oil export, power generation, sales gas export, LPG storageand LPG export takes place.

This exciting opportunity is responsible for the day-to-day management and co-ordination of logistic requirements at Wytch Farm.

This includes transport, cranes, leased and owned pool vehicles with the objectives of achieving the highest service level toWytch Farm Operations, minimising cost and constantly looking for improvement in efficiency.

This is an office/site based role working Monday to Friday.


Key Responsibilities Include:


Transport

  • Day to day transport Management for Wytch farm to include monthly cost allocation
  • Focal point of contact for all transport requirements; local and long haul for Wytch Farm
  • Advise on activities relating to carriage, packing, loading, filling or unloading of dangerous goods particularly moving chemicals & loads from the Stores to help prevent the risks inherent in such activities with regard to persons, property and the environment
  • Produce Dangerous Goods notes for backloads when required
  • Prepare & produce mandatory annual report and preserve for five years and made available to the national authorities at their request
  • Keep up to date with Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) changes issued by the Executive Agency for the Department of Transport and communicate to drivers where appropriate
  • Check that drivers complete daily vehicle & trailers check and report findings on Ptrac
  • Allocate daily movement tasks for Dyce drivers in accordance with site plans

Cranes

  • Day to day Crane Management for Wytch Farm to include monthly allocation
  • Focal point for all crane requirement for Wytch Farm

Plant Hire

  • Day to day Plant Hire management for Wytch Farm to include monthly allocation
  • Focal point of contact for all plant hire requirement for Wytch Farm

Fleet Vehicles

  • Point of contact for managing all fleet vehicles (x30) at Wytch Farm
  • Assist with the renewal process and manage the changeout of vehicles and distribution
  • Manage and control the usage of the Perenco Vehicle fleet ensuring it is fully utilised inc pool vehicles
  • Maintain fleet vehicle database with insurance company
  • Assist with negotiation on annual insurance premium
  • Ensure personnel have correct level of driving license and that changes are reported to insurers
  • Facilitate the requirement for hire and off hire of shortterm vehicles
  • Record the daily vehicle check and rectify any vehicle issues arising for the vehicle fleet
  • Ensure all Perenco drivers have attend defensive driving course
  • Maintain tracking systems fitted to the vehicle fleets

Maintenance

  • Produce and track a vehicle maintenance schedule for the Perenco owned mobile equipment and trailers
  • Keep up to date maintenance schedule and book 8 weekly inspections, brake tests & MOT's in according with DVSA requirements and arrange for all noncompliance issues to be rectified.

Contract Management

  • Arrange and participate in QPR's with logistics suppliers
  • Manage the Driver Hire contract and drivers who supply transport to/from all Wytch Farm sites

Safety & Environmentally Critical Courses:


  • Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor Certificate (Perenco UK)

Key Requirements & Experience:


  • Previous experience and knowledge of the UK Oil & Gas Industry would be beneficial but not essential
  • Previous experience within a Logistics or Coordination role
  • Strong written English with a high level of IT Skills primarily in Microsoft Office
  • Good administration Skills
  • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Preferably hold an Operator Licence (Certificate in Professional Competence in Road Haulage)
