The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our talented IT team based in Swansea.


Joining a team of 7, day to day, you will focus upon providing a support and maintenance service to circa 250 Arvato colleagues who support one of our large government clients.


The team acts as the support service for IT requests and issues, primarily for end-user computing areas, but supporting the IT Infrastructure across the environment.

The ability to deliver quality support to end-users is paramount to this role. This is avery varied role where every day is different and priorities can change quickly.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in 2/3rd line support and maintaining SUSE and RHEL servers
  • Experience in 2nd/3rd line Azure Active Directory and Microsoft environments including Microsoft 36
  • Experience in resolution of complex issues and liaison with other depts and with external hardware, software and 3rd party suppliers
  • Experience of root cause analysis as part of Problem Management
  • Experience of working on Firewalls and Switches including understanding of networking topology (Preferably Cisco)
  • Adaptable to change and capable of learning new skills & requirements.
  • SC verified or willingness to obtain

Desirable

  • Over 2 years' experience in a similar role preferred. Certifications in the field advantageous.
  • Experience and knowledge of AWS infrastructure and AWS services
  • Experience of performing IT health checks
  • Experience with backup solutions
  • Experience of supporting Access Management Systems
  • A working knowledge of SQL
