Description

  • To have overall responsibility for the day to day clinical and operational management of the ultrasound department with the maternity service To ensure the delivery of an effective clinical obstetric ultrasound service and to undertake the role of the Sonography Lead in obstetric ultrasound. To lead by example, maintaining clinical expertise and promoting high imaging standards To take a lead role in clinical assessment and co-ordination of ultrasound training for Obstetric Sonographers, students and others. To develop, manage and supervise the ultrasound component of the First Trimester Combined Screening (FTCS) Programme. To ensure compliance with National Screening Committee and FASP standards. To be the local nominated lead
  • Screening Support Sonographer (SSS) as detailed in the NHS Fetal Anomaly Screening Programme (FASP) documentation.
