Description
The shift pattern for this post is Office hours (between 7am and 6pm) - weekdays.


Covering all hospitals in Greater Glasgow & Clyde, the posthoder will be involved in the supervision, monitoring and operational management of cancer waiting times, analysing and interpreting data on an ongoing basis, and will line manage administrative resources relating to the cancer pathway.


Minimum Requirements

Essential

  • Knowledge of cancer, cancer clinical pathways and cancer waiting times.
  • 5 years experience in management of administrative staff or recognised management certificate.
  • Planning and organisational skills required to manage projects/wait list activity/staff cover.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of computer systems in use within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomical and physiological terms.
  • Knowledge of existing data standards and definitions and forthcoming developments.
