ALS are recruiting aBid Manager for our client based in
Oxford.
Our client is looking for an experienced and ambitious
Bid Manager to help them meet and exceed their growth targets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a pipeline of potential bid opportunities.
- Support the Business Development process.
- Outputs include tender notices, invitations to tender and development bids through the production of high quality tailored SQs, ITT submissions and bid documents.
- Develop the key aspects of the proposal spec including deliverables and timelines, and proactively manage them end to end .
- Proactively work with operational teams to develop bids.
- Generate and maintain positive relationships with potential new large customers.
- Create a suite of professional tendering documentation.
- Report on agreed KPIs on proposals and contracts.
- Initiate the new contract set up process for newly signed contracts.
- Prepare all new client/vendor information forms.
- Work with the Marketing and Sales team to improve the company's presence in all aspects of social media and PR.
Person Specification
- Working towards APMP qualification or commitment to achieve qualification.
- Experience of leading large commercial tenders proposals and bids in a FM or construction environment for both the public and private sector.
- Experience of completing public sector documents such as SQs, ITTs, Framework and DPS documents.
- Experience in using eprocurement systems and submitting bids.
- Able to interpret and work with financial colleagues to prepare financial bid proposals.
- Excellent communicator.
- High standard of written English.
- Demonstrable project management skills.
Desirable Skills
- APMP qualified.
- Evidence of bid writing for the Public Sector.
- Prince 2 or equivalent qualification.
- Management qualification and membership.
- Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
- Experience of preparing and monitoring competitor analysis assessments.
- Experience of commercial risk identification and management of risk mitigation strategies.
Work Location - Home working - occasional travel to company offices at Horspath and Cowley Marsh at agreed times.
Hours Per Week - 40
Holidays and Benefits - 28 days holiday, subsidised leisure membership, employer benefits scheme
Remuneration - Up to £60-65K depending on experience
