Description
We are now looking to recruit a General Handyman to our team at GEM Solutions.We are a property development and maintenance company based in Bath.
The job will involve working on both the reactive and project side of the business for the vast portfolio of properties we look after.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly with senior management to fully understand job requirements
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed to provide estimations
- Install, Modify, inspect, repair a wide range of items within a property
Requirements:
- Excellent hand dexterity with a keen attention to detail
- Experience of a wide range of skills within a property (eg) carpentry, tiling, decoration, general repairs
- Excellent communication skills with all team members and clients alike
- Excellent customer service skills
- Full driving licence
- Can do attitude towards tasks
- Able to make quick decisions under own initiative with an appreciation for commercial consequences
- Excellent understanding of how things work within the construction industry
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
