About the Role

  • The Talent Specialist will be responsible for supporting and delivering the talent plans across UK and Europe for a defined business unit(s) and provide continuous improvement across internal and external talent processes.
  • The Talent Specialist will engage line management in a consultative and informative capacity to ensure that they have the right people, in the right place, at the right time. Providing advice, market data and recommendations to support key recruitment and talent decisions, the Talent Specialist will integrate talent activity with resource planning by building strong working relationships with the business and our RPO service provider.

Duties / Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the end to end Talent process from attracting, recruiting onboarding, developing, motivating, and retaining highperforming employees.
  • Responsible for attracting critical talent into the business and advising on industry changes promptly, communicating the information to business leaders and HR where required.
  • Supporting in the resilience planning process for Lockheed Martin main programmes, including reviewing gaps in the skill sets and critical skills for the business
  • Providing support and recruitment ideas and initiatives for new business and capture efforts.
  • Management of large hiring campaigns including creating proposals and plans and implementing them into the recruitment process.
  • Accountable for the end to end recruitment activity from developing sourcing strategies to 'day one' onboarding.
  • Presentation of recruitment and market data to inform resourcing decisions.
  • Directly and indirectly executing campaigns to ensure programmes are staffed timely, cost effectively, and with the very best available talent.
  • Ensuring appropriate talent pools are created and maintained for key positions.
  • Working closely with and managing the RPO provider to ensure recruitment objectives are attained for the business area(s), acting as arbiter to RPO and the business.
  • Monitor and improve effective measurements system around resourcing processes utilising metrics, KPI's and SLA's.
  • Acting as the TA representative on the UK HR Policies board
  • Supporting with the set up of any new countries to ensure hiring capability is achieved.
  • Act as escalation point for any resourcing related issues, relaying to the EMEA Talent Solutions Manager as applicable.
  • Supporting the EMEA Talent Solutions Manager on any Enterprise Wide projects.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

  • Proven experience of working within an inhouse recruitment and resourcing team.
  • Experience of managing an end to end resourcing process.
  • Knowledge of current EU and UK employment law with experience of policy development and implementation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • Strong and proven problemsolving skills.
  • Proven experience of supporting recruitment campaigns and managing the process from start to end.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing all elements of the recruitment process from workforce planning to on boarding of new starters.
  • Experience of working for, with and overseeing an RPO partner through all stages of the recruitment process.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, drive and resilience and commitment as a team player. Flexibility and teamwork will therefore be strong attributes.
  • Experience of international recruiting.
  • The position will require some travel.
