We at Birkbeck, University of London, are excited to announce a new opening for a Student Immigration Compliance & Advice Officer.
We're looking for an administrator with excellent IT and organisational skills, who is eager to develop new skills and support our aim to grow our international student numbers.
As our Student Immigration Compliance and Advice Officer, you will:- Support the activities of the International Student Administration team (ISA)
- Maintain the University's Student Visa sponsor licence
- Assist with ongoing international student support tasks, including providing basic immigration advice
- Work closely with various teams across the University, including academic departments, Finance and external relations
- Be responsible for checking identity documentation, crosschecking data, running reports and updating internal records
- Manage high volumes of work and multiple priorities independently
- Contribute to the delivery of training sessions for colleagues across the University.
- Good knowledge and understanding of administrative systems
- Knowledge of UKVI compliance and immigration processes and policy
- Good IT skills, including MS Office, Word, Excel and database packages
- Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills.
You will be part of a team that is focused on implementing frequently changing Government policies and ensuring the University maintains compliance, whilst also maximising recruitment from non-UK markets.

Remuneration:
£29,392 rising to £32,962 per annum. Grade 4 is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
Terms and Conditions
