We have an exciting opportunity to join our experienced Macmillan Lung Cancer Team supporting both the nursing team, patients and their loved ones.


The postholder will be the first point of contact for patient and other health care providers and provide reassurance, support and information as well as escalating concerns to the clinical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has administrative experience and wishes to develop wider skills.

Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role


This post holder will be the first point of contact for patients to provide care co-ordination and high quality patient care.

This includes direct patient contact, responding appropriately to sensitive/ complex issues and ensuring confidentiality is maintained.


Care coordination and extensive administrative work supports the Macmillan Lung Cancer Nurse Team to see a larger number of patients efficiently and smoothly, utilising basic clinical knowledge, approved tools and procedures.


The role assists the CNS team and department in service developments and supports the team to implement new initiatives such as developing patient health and wellbeing clinics and other nurse/consultant led clinics.

The post holder is instrumental in implementing electronic Lung CNS

team patient records so producing pilot paper records, reviews and revised copies meeting with IT / CRS developers until final records are produced.
