Medical Care Support Worker

Veritas Education are working with a SEN primary school setting in Bradford who are looking for medical care support workers to support children with complex SEN and medical needs.

The children in the settings experience Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties(PMLD) and have mobility difficulties too. The school meets the needs and abilities of various children in KS1 and KS2. The dedicated staffing team are passionate and caring towards the children.

Role:

In this role as a medical care support worker, you will be supporting primary aged children in a SEN school in lessons, during lunch and on the playground
Be confident communicating with children who are verbal and nonverbal using sign language and Makaton
Interact and support children with medical and mobility needs
Assist the teaching team with personal changing and administration of medication (you will not be responsible for administering any medication)

Requirements:

Previous experience supporting children or adults with complex and medical needs
Team Teach is desirable, although training can be offered by Veritas
Have proof of eligibility to work in the UK
