What you'll be doing
As a Supervisor, you will direct and oversee the production of work (Track & Drainage) as required to deliver the following safely and efficiently:
- Assist with the build-up of work programmes when requested
- Guide supervisors on site visits as required
- Review resource plan and schedules
- Provide requests for plant
- Attend preclosure meetings when directed
- Ensure endtoend process deadlines are met
- Review risk assessments for completeness
- Assist with delivery of internal training
- Assist with developing competence of night supervisors
- Liaise with other critical site staff and operatives
- Attending all training and briefings to ensure all activities meet current regulations and guidance
- Undertake supervisor duties on site including Site person in Charge
- Assist with safe delivery of all subprojects
- Assist with successful delivery of all subprojects
- Assist with efficient, timely delivery of all subprojects
- Provide of direction of supervisors working in team as required
- Provide direction of supervisors and track staff on site as required
Who we're looking for
You will have the following essential experience:
- NC in appropriate discipline
- Knowledge of construction methods available in the industry
- LU Track Accustomed certification, LUCAS Card
- IT skills (MS Office)
- Full UK driving licence
- Basic understanding of CDM and H&S legislation with a willingness to develop this knowledge
- Working knowledge of LU planning systems
- Demonstrating understanding of PMF
- 3+ years relevant experience in track construction environment or other construction discipline
- Understanding of material sampling and testing specifications
- Handback checks
- Experience of contracting environment
