Location:

Role:

We are seeking an experienced document controller to work within our design and delivery teams to facilitate multi-discipline rail projects for UK and global infrastructure works.


Responsibilities:


Manage the documentation process for railway infrastructure projects throughout the whole project lifecycle, for multi-discipline teams (focused on Signalling, Telecoms and E&P).


Develop and implement improvements to existing document control procedures to improve efficiency within internal teams, undertaking regular project audits and rolling out internal training on project and document management processes.


Maintain up-to-date project documentation, drawings and records for internal engineering teams (design and construction), and assist the project management team in collating relevant project data during perioding reporting.


Ensure documentation is securely transmitted and recorded, maintaining document registers and liaising with counterparts within other organisations to ensure a smooth flow of documentation.


Help develop the document management team in line with a growing volume of project work, assisting with long term resource planning, recruitment and development of staff.


Work with the competence management team to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations and deliver onward briefings to the wider telecoms team where necessary.


Requirements:


  • IT literate and knowledge of CAD software compliance checks (Microstation etc.)
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience as a document controller in the railway industry.
  • Familiarity with Network Rail documentation and records procedures.
  • Experience working within a multidiscipline project team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Commitment to continuous personal development and learning.

Desirable:


  • Experience in railway projects outside of Network Rail infrastructure (within the UK and globally).
  • Keen ambition to develop a team and processes within it.

Salary:
£21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
