Description

As a Data Services Consultant within Professional Services, you will be working with our Pre Sales, Customer Development and Customer Success teams to assist with project scoping, as stand alone or as part of larger consulting engagements, delivering an excellent level of services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To participate in presales and customer discussions in order to advise and guide our Sales, Sales Engineering and Channel sales teams regarding the product selection and solution design of data projects.
  • To act as the primary point of contact and technical support for customers during legacy data import projects, migration of data between different Mimecast accounts and exporting of data from the Mimecast archive.
  • Explain data formatting requirements to customers and provide relevant documentation as necessary.
  • Coordinate and verify receipt of customer data to ensure it meets defined standards and is catalogued correctly for import into the Mimecast archive service.
  • Engage with customers to address general platform questions as they relate to Data Services.
  • Advise customers on the use of the Mimecast Data Services products and services and ensure best practice configuration
  • Assist with the deployment of new Mimecast products and services to customers as they relate to Data Services.
  • Work alongside Mimecast's global QA, Product, Development and Engineering teams to enhance and improve Data Services products and other related Mimecast services and products.
  • Build and produce regular progress reports during, and final report documentation at the conclusion of, Data Services projects.
  • Create and maintain FAQ's, Knowledge Base articles and customer facing documentation regarding Data Services products and services as required.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement or enhancement to services, systems and processes.
  • Provide internal enablement, training and support for all members of the Data Services team, as well as for our Sales, Pre-Sales, Customer Management teams and our Mimecast partners and resellers.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience managing data, platform, system and/or user base migration projects and/or implementations.
  • SaaS or related cloud services, data archival and legacy data management.
  • SQL and PowerShell experience an advantage
  • Detail oriented individual that enjoys working with customers and the challenge of technical troubleshooting
  • Experience of working with globally diverse customers advantageous
