We are seeking a highly motivated, focused, deadline driven individual with a keen eye for detail for the role of Contracts Administrator, to support the Senior Finance Project Support, in our Colchester studio.- This role is a pivotal role within the organisation helping to minimise the risk associated with working with Sub Consultants, and therefore contributing to maximising profitability of the business. Other general responsibilities include sub consultant document control file development and maintenance.

In addition, attending weekly meetings with Purchaser Ledger Controller and working proactively with colleagues and the Operational Partner to facilitate sub consultant management.- There is potential for the role to extend to management Client agreements in future.- Although full support will be provided by the Senior Finance Project Support, the position does require the ability to work independently, as well as the ability to collaborate and contribute in a team environment.- Purcell is an award-winning employee-owned architectural and heritage consultancy practice with a commitment to quality, innovation, and diversity.

  • Administering and managing Sub Consultant Agreements both directly and through supervision of appropriate internal and external resources.
  • Facilitating the negotiation of contract terms with both Operational Partner and/or External Legal Consultant and Sub Consultants
  • Reviewing existing contracts and updating them
  • Monitoring contractual performance using spreadsheets
  • Quality Control
  • Produce and issue Purchase Orders to sub consultants
  • Attend weekly catch up meetings with Purchase Ledger Controller and Senior Finance Project Support
  • This role has the potential to extend to management of Client agreements in future.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience of construction agreements (RIBA, NEC, CIC etc) is desirable. If no experience of these, then proven experience of legal agreements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Solid organisational skills with a flexible approach and the ability to prioritise.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
