Come and join our fabulous team in the Early Years and Childcare service at Rotherham Council.

We have an exciting opportunity available; we are looking to appoint a Wraparound and Early Years Expansion Co-ordinator.

The Early Years and Childcare Service sits within the Education and Inclusion Service within the Children and Young Peoples Directorate


The post holder will sit within the Early Years and Childcare Service and be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of the DfE Wraparound Childcare programme and Early Years entitlements expansion in Rotherham.


The post holder will contribute to the development and implementation of the commisioning process for the delivery support and capital funding.

They will liaise with Finance collagues to support the development, implementation and ongling monotoring of the programme budget.

They will be responsible for the development and implimentation of the local delivery plan.


They will develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan to raise awareness of the Wraparound programme with parents and providers.

They will contribute to the Early Years entitlements expansion communications plan.


They will support the creation of new, high quality inclusive early years and wraparound provision in the borough to meet demand in liaison with the Quality and Inclusion team.

They will inspire, influence and motivate schools and early years providers to engage with the new opportunties and develpments.

They will identify and share models of best practice in early years and wraparound delivery.


They will need to have extensive knowledge and understanding on all aspects of early years and wraparound delivery including business management and development.

They will work collaboratively within the local authority and key external agencies to ensure joined up partnership working to meet the needs of children and families

Some occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
