Now Education are looking for a Year 5 Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Bilborough Nottingham. This is a full-time role for a maternity cover. You will play a vital role in the development and education of young children.

Your passion for working with children, along with your experience and skills, will contribute to creating a positive and enriching learning environment.


Requirements:


  • You must have a Teaching Assistant qualification or six months plus of relevant experience
  • Experience working with Year 5 pupils
  • Experience working with children with autism or special educational needs is a plus
  • You must have the patience to provide 1:1 support to children with SEN needs
  • Be creative in your approach to learning and delivering the curriculum
  • Have high expectations of pupils' achievements and a commitment to excellent standards
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Be enthusiastic, energetic and committed to making learning exciting
  • Have excellent communication skills with children and adults

Responsibilities:


  • Provide care and support for Year 5 pupils
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and development
  • Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning environment

Skills:


  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to engage and connect with children on their level
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with young children
  • Excellent organisational skills to plan and implement activities effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
