Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on a
Production Operative in Cardiff working on a 2 shift pattern.
-
Week 1: Mornings: Mon

Fri 6am 2pm

-
Week 2: Afternoons: Mon

Thurs 2pm to 10.30pm with a 8pm finish each Friday

Week 3: Nights: Start Sunday evening 6pm - last shift Thurs 6pm - 6am Friday morning

There will be
10% shift allowance for Afternoon shifts and
30% shift allowance for Night shifts.

Production Operative Benefits:

Hourly rate including shift allowance on afternoon and night shifts of between £12.47 and £12.81 per hour depending on experience
Yearly 10% bonus of annual salary based on company performance, for this role minimum bonus would be £2400
Hours = 2 shifts (Week 1: Mon
Fri 6am 2pm)

(Week 2: Mon

Thurs 2pm pm, Fri 8pm finish)
Rates will increase with experience.
Monday to Friday shifts, no weekends

Production Operative Duties and Responsibilities

Setting and operating machinery
Work to technical drawings with the mínimal supervision
Produce products to the highest standards output and quality
Carry out changeovers on machines
Manage speeds and feeds
Inspection/gauging of machined components
Compliance with all EH&S and company procedures

Production Operative Essential Experience:

Experience within a Production/ Machine Operator position in an engineering or manufacturing environment
Ability to carrying out complete and partial changeovers
Understanding of speeds and feeds based on materials; controls; programming; safety and tooling
Able to communicate at all levels and work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently and with mínimal supervision
Ability to work on multiple tasks and to tight deadlines
Ability to achieve production and quality targets
Positive and flexible cando attitude
