An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Clinical Support Worker to work with the Faculty of Research and Clinical Education (FORCE).

The Clinical Support Worker will work with the multi professional team to provide support for new to care healthcare support workers and T-Level students.

To contribute to the development of induction programmes and to promote care certificate compliance amongst new staff.

The post holder may be expected to work across both RWT and WHT hospital sites.


The post holder will co-operate with, contribute to and enact all aspects of daily work as co-ordinated and planned for by the Nurse Education Team, and will have a willingness to undertake additional skills and training dependent on department requirements.


The post holder will work closely and assist the FORCE team to promote a positive working environment which is dedicated to delivering high standards of education and training to students and staff at the Trust, in an efficient and effective manner.


Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents.

Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading.

Construction of the new integrated critical care unit was completed in 2018, extension of a Neonatal Unit and brand new, state of the art Emergency Department is in the process of being completed.

  • To work closely and assist the FORCE team to promote a positive working environment which is dedicated to delivering high standards of education and training to students and staff at the Trust, in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Liaise professionally with all departments and visitors to the department, including external partners. To ensure all information and messages received are communicated efficiently and accurately.
  • To effectively time manage and prioritise workload by managing own diary and meeting deadlines to ensure service delivery is maintained.
  • Contribute to new ways of working and implement new ideas to improve systems of work
  • Respond in a professional and sensitive manner when dealing with confidential issues to students, staff and other agencies
  • Be able to recognise failures in communication and report to senior staff.
  • Co-operate with, contribute to and enact all aspects of daily work as co-ordinated and planned for by the Nurse Education Team.
