JOB PURPOSE:


The Grand Pier specialises in tailor made events for all budgets in event spaces holding as few as 10 persons, up to concerts for over 2000 persons.

Each client is given exceptional service so that their experience is good enough for them to return and refer other to our business.


  • Sell the events space and always aim to meet customer needs and exceed customer expectations
- manage the day to day sales priorities, adhering to timelines and agreed Service Level Agreements (such as response times) and taking responsibility for delivering required reports, results and figures on a weekly basis to the Head of Department.
- consistently ensure the highest standards of service are followed to ensure the client has a great experience from the start of the process to the end of the process
- ensure all sales administration is accomplished effectively & accurately using our platform so that a seamless handover is provided to the operations team who will deliver the event


ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Attend **weekly meetings and share all up to date and accurate information with the operations and facilities teams
- conduct customer show rounds to maintain and develop relationships with key clients

  • Support with the delivery and coordination of weddings & events as required and rostered
- provide outstanding customer service

  • Process enquiries & proposals, providing best value options to customers while maximising sales opportunities, within agreed response times
  • Regular proactive sales techniques including outbound telesales
  • Contribute ideas for the Sales and Marketing plan
  • Meet required deadlines for requests for proposal
  • Followup enquiries & proposals within agreed timescales and customer preferred method, arrange customer site inspections where applicable in order to close sale
  • Participate in sales promotions and applicable familiarisation trips
  • Be aware of competitor activities & industry trends
  • Organise and manage weekly sheets meeting with relevant teams
  • Collate and distribute Event Orders on a daily and weekly business
  • Ensure all event sheets in circulation are the most current version including
  • Provide direct liaison with customer and suppliers ensuring clear communications of each party's needs and expectations
  • Maintain accurate records of enquiry source and report and communicate new business leads when required
  • Record accurately all customer profile and booking information making full use of the appropriate systems
  • Demonstrate best working practices in all duties and comply with company manual

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft (training will be provided for our events platform)
  • Develop strong working relationships
  • Previous sales experience in a wedding and/or based environment is desirable but not essential

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£18,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
