Cocomelt is London's newest dessert and speciality coffee cafe. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about the hospitality industry to join our team. Love for coffee, high energy, curiosity, and quick learning is essential.


Job description
Any Barista who knows their beans understands the importance of the role.

Your main responsibility will be dialling and making coffee, making serving coffee, tea, and chocolate drinks to our customers. You need to deliver an unforgettable customer service experience by showcasing your unbeatable coffee-making skills.

There will be on the job training, however previous experience as a barista is required (at least 1 year)


The coffee machine we use is La Marzocco - Linea PB 2 AV and the Grinder is Mahlkonig - E65S GBW.

Role is for 3x 12-hour shifts on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays/Mondays. 11am to 11pm.


Main activities of the role:

  • Ability to dial in Grinders for our House Blend
  • Open and close down coffee section independently
  • Multitask and perform a busy service solo
  • Maintain the desired speed of service and quality of product
  • Deliver coffee and chocolate drinks to customers in an engaging and friendly manner
  • Ability to pour basic latte art and understand all milks used at Cocomelt
  • Maintain cleanliness of station at all times
  • Communicate any stock shortages/ issues early
  • Wear full and correct uniform always
  • Always maintaining coffee to recipe
  • Operating the till / taking payments from customers
  • Great knowledge of our menu and being able to explain it to customers if needed
  • Serving drinks to customers

From £11.50 per hour
