Are you an experienced
Senior Surveyor who's passionate about maintaining accurate asset data? Eastlight, a prominent player in social housing, is seeking
a skilled Senior Surveyor to lead the charge in boosting our asset data accuracy.

Your role will drive effective investments in our residential and broader property assets, contributing to our mission of providing quality homes and nurturing communities.


Role Overview:


As a Senior Surveyor, you'll be at the forefront of crucial surveying tasks, including stock condition assessments, structural surveys, and Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) evaluations.

You'll play a vital role in
ensuring our property asset data remains precise, enabling smart decision-making.

This role requires possession of a
valid full UK driving license along with access to a car. Additionally, demonstrated
surveying expertise and exceptional technical knowledge in domestic property construction are essential prerequisites for this position.


What You'll Do:


  • Conduct comprehensive surveys on habitable and nonhabitable assets, aligned with our Asset Management Strategy.
  • Lead and manage the stock condition process to provide essential property information for investment decisions and maintenance planning.
  • Collaborate with thirdparty engineers to identify issues and offer recommendations for improvement in structural and Damp & Condensation projects.
  • Ensure accurate production of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and energy data capture for informed systems.
  • Carry out HHSRS assessments to identify potential risks within our homes.
  • Efficiently manage the Landlords consent process to mitigate risks.
  • Oversee disrepair claims and assetrelated legal processes.
  • Provide quality assurance for new build homes, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.

Your Experience:


  • Proven surveying expertise and strong technical knowledge in domestic property construction.
  • Managementlevel experience in social housing.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying defects, analyzing causes, and implementing solutions.
  • Proficiency in managing structural and Damp & Condensation projects, including coordination and remedial work management.
  • A track record of building partnerships, collaborating, and achieving shared goals.
  • Previous experience commissioning and managing consultants.

Skills and Attributes:


  • Strong understanding of construction and safety regulations, including HHSRS.

£ 43,239 annual base salary:


  • £2,200 car allowance per annum:

Full Time, Permanent Contract:


  • Group stakeholder pension plan (Eastlight will double, up to 4% of the employee's contribution
  • Employee 4% + Eastlight 8% = Total 12%)
  • Annual wellbeing grant of £200 per annum
