The Scrum Master is an advocate of Agile ways of working, building self-organising teams from a pool of multi-disciplined Infrastructure Engineers, BAs and testers.

Facilitating ceremonies, coaching & mentoring the team leveraging product ownership in priority, quality & ownership of barriers to change.


The role will require you to work, inform and influence a range of stakeholders across the engineering and business communities, identifying opportunities for improvement, challenging the status-quo.

You will form part of the Engineering community within the Digital Workplace Services division reporting into the Head of Function

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Organise teams of engineers & Agile Business Analysts.
  • Ensuring change governance procedures and controls are adhered to
  • Leadership in removing barriers between stakeholders & squads, ownership of escalations
  • Ownership of squads backlog
  • Provide transparency of demand, committed workload and prioritisation.
  • Evangelising Agile ways of working, developing squads and driving improvements
  • Practice continuous learning through attending company and/or industry training.
  • Harvest a culture of curiosity and challenge across the engineering community

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience of Agile ways or working within an Infrastructure community
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks (Kanban, Scrum etc)
  • Experience of facilitating Scrum ceremonies
  • Experience of developing product owners (e.g. refining backlogs, prioritisation)
  • Proven experience of developing Infrastructure teams
  • Ability to foster a safe environment where challenges are openly shared
  • Drive adoption and consistent usage of Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, DevOps)
