Description

To provide specialist nursing, clinical support and knowledge to patients and staff within clinical areas in Endoscopy and Theatre for the following areas: Plastic, Dermatology and Podiatric Surgery, Endoscopy, Decontamination and Cystoscopy.

Act as an effective role model and demonstrate effective organisational and leadership skills by managing all clinical areas in the Endoscopy and Theatre in the Day Case Unit.

Lead and actively promote professional development and maintain a suitable and stimulating learning environment.

To lead and participate in the promotion of a quality service within the framework of Clinical Governance, using research and evidence based practice including the settling and monitoring of clinical standards.


To have responsibility for the Health, Safety and Welfare of self and others and to comply at all times with the requirement of the Health and Safety Regulations.

To ensure confidentiality at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course of employment to those acting in an official capacity in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act and its amendments.

To work in accordance with the Trusts policy to eliminate unlawful discrimination and promote good race relations and diversity in the workplace.

To work 75% of the week in a clinical capacity.
