Programme and Business Development Manager


We are looking for a Manager to provide business management support to the organisation in the development of the Child and Adolescent Training in conjunction with the NHS, Health Education England (HEE) and, as appropriate, the ACP.

Hours:
Full time (35 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends)


Salary:
£40,000 per annum


Duration:
Permanent

Benefits: 30 days plus Bank Holidays, Employer 3%, employee 5%, free tea and coffee and onsite garden

The Role


As Business Manager, you will have responsibility for the management of the programme in partnership with the Clinical Course Director and the Academic Course Director, based at the AFC.

In conjunction with the Clinical Course Director, you will ensure issues of equality; diversity and inclusion are at the forefront in leading a Course Team in delivering all aspects of the training from recruitment to graduation.

There are two aspects to the core purpose of this role:
*An internally focused responsibility for the overall management of the operational and administrative functions of the training, including budget management and management of staff
*An outward-facing business development and leadership component. Both are required to support, sustain and develop the Independent Training.

About You

You will have experience of working in a managerial role and working in partnership with a range of organisations and professionals, along with experience of:
*Making decisions on difficult and contentious issues where there may be several courses of action.
*Business planning, working with donors and drafting of funding proposals.
*Developing, implementing, and reviewing systems to improve performance/quality of service delivery.
*Managing and motivating a team.
*Managing a budget, involvement in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes.

With around 650 members, it is one of the largest psychotherapy membership and training organisations in Europe.

The approach is based on the rich tradition of psychoanalytic and Jungian theory and practice, while also drawing on scientific advances in the understanding of the human mind and development.


You may have experience in areas such as Programme Manager, Clinical Programmes Manger, Operations Manager, Administration Manger, Partnerships Manger, Programmes and Partnerships Manger, Business Development Manager, Relationship Manger, Training, Trainer.
