We are looking to recruit a Residential Support Worker to support our existing team.

The position require flexibility and the willingness to provide cover and support to the rota. We operate 24 hours 365 days a year.

The majority of contracted hours will be used to cover holiday.

The post will attract up to 96 hours contracted across a 28 day period, with understanding of increase of 144 hours if needed.

Any hours worked over 144 hours will be paid time and quarter. Also required to be on standby for alternate Saturdays.

This is an ideal opportunity for some who is conceding a career in residential children care home in a safe and nurturing environment.

We will welcome applicants with or without previous experience. We will provide training towards Diploma level 3.

MJ Children have provided residential childcare services since 1999.

At present, we have a 4 bed home, 'The Birches', which offers a warm and safe 'home for now' to young people aged 6-17.

We are in a period of development and plan to open a second home, 'The Willows' later this year.

The young people we care for have experienced a traumatic and neglectful early life, which presents through the emotional and behavioral difficulties they display.

We understand the importance placed on our role as attachment figures, working to the therapeutic B.E.A.C.O.N model to provide love, care and support to our young people.

A drivers licence is required.

Day hours are paid at £10.50 per hour

Night hours are paid at £11.50 per hour

Extra £1 per hour following successful completion of Probation.
