Administrator - Fund Operations


What is the opportunity?
The Securities Operations department provides custody and settlement services for clients of RBC in the British Isles.

You will be part of the Fund Operations team responsible for submitting trade instructions to various fund managers and agents for clients across the organisation.

You will ensure client trades and queries relating to these are processed in good time.
You will be involved in running daily control reports and confirming trade instructions with funds.


What will you do?

  • Support the team in monitoring outstanding fund trades and chasing contract notes where required.
  • Assist with the fund acknowledgement process and monitor all outstanding trades ensuring we maintain defined service level agreements.
  • Escalate any issues arising from instructions being chased to Assistant Manager/Line Manager.
  • Support all team members to ensure all allocated work is completed in a timely manner with high standards being maintained.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Client focus mindset to ensure that all client queries/enquiries are dealt with in a professional manner, within the defined time frame
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Possess good interpersonal skills to allow for a good relationship with external and internal contacts
  • Must possess the capability of adhering to procedures and risk management controls at all times and high attention to detail
  • Must be a team player willing to support, manage colleagues and peers with the ability to work under own directive and work additional hours

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of Securities Operations an advantage. A good understanding of other operational areas would be beneficial, however full training will be provided
