Role overview:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Business Improvement will assess, define and lead the effective delivery of programmes of work that will have a transformative impact in supporting the strategic goals of the business.
The head of business improvement and their team will typically lead initiatives around 3 key themes:
- Operational excellence: Assessing and standardising business rules, tools and processes across the organisation to make the business more efficient and scalable
- Integration of company acquisitions: Enabling the benefits and synergies of M&A activities by successfully onboarding businesses into the Tes ecosystem
- Project Management Office: Supporting and coordinating the efficient delivery of key projects and change initiatives especially when they run across multiple business areas
Building strong stakeholder relationships with all functions across Tes, they will the agile delivery of measurable outcomes that support Tes in its goal to becoming a leading global SaaS educational services provider.
They will not only lead key business initiatives but also be a continuous improvement advocate helping the overall business adopt best practices at scale and taking ownership in constantly looking for ways to bring the business forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive business improvement across Tes by identifying, assessing, and prioritising initiatives and workstreams
- Own the programme of change and lead the successful delivery of valuebased projects & initiatives
- Design and evolve the target blueprints for best practices & methodology, standardised business rules and processes to roll out throughout the organisation
- Manage and develop a highly engaged and high achieving team
- Work with key stakeholders to maximise value and the effective allocation of resources
- Monitor delivery and impact of the team and of the initiatives by using effective metrics
- Manage budgets and ensure suitable governance for the various workstreams
- Design an efficient communication framework around the activity to help align stakeholders, benefit from progress, and be able to act quickly on issues, risks and contingencies
- Develop and promote centres of excellence around project management, business analysis, change management and Agile delivery.
- Role model and support the adoption of "continuous improvement" mindset and best practices throughout the business
- Experience in planning and delivering complex programs of work in fastpace environments
- Demonstratable track record in driving transformation at scale and/or radically impacting a business growth trajectory
- Able to problem solve and realise efficiencies
- Evidence of having developed highperforming delivery team(s)
- Strong interest and talent for operational strategy
- Excellent communication skills & stakeholder relationship management
- Strong analytical and organisational skills

- Past experience working in SaaS business desirable
- 25 days annual leave rising to 30
