Our Respite service in Cardiff offers short-term stays for adults over 18 with various needs like learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, challenging behaviors, and mental health issues.
Alongside this service, our Community Connections Service provides tailored respite options, including support at home, community-based support, weekend getaways, and holidays.
We prioritize individual needs, enabling people to achieve their goals, maintain well-being, and actively engage in their local communities.
Flexibility is key as the nature of the service often involves last-minute changes due to the high activity level at the houses.
Through our Respite provision, we aim to provide guests with the opportunity to:
- Experience various social, educational, and recreational activities
- Develop friendships and connections within a supportive community network
- Participate in shared support and living experiences
- Enjoy a meaningful break
- Learn independent living skills
For families, we aim to:
- Offer planned breaks for Carers
- Provide support during unexpected life events requiring emergency short breaks
- Involve Carers and those they care for in service evaluation and development
We are seeking Support Workers to join our team, assisting individuals with daily tasks such as personal care, medication administration, community engagement, and more.
