A rare opportunity has arisen for a motivated, compassionate and mature health care support worker to join the NHS Borders Macmillan Cancer Team.

Experience of caring for and supporting people with complex health care needs will be advantageous.

Good communication skills, team working, remaining calm under pressure and being able to use own initiative are essential to the role.

Based in Borders Macmillan Oncology Treatment Room, skills in venepuncture/cannulation are desirable and further training will be provided.

The post will be based in the Oncology Day treatment centre, involving safe handling of cytotoxic therapy. Shift patterns currently range from 9am - 8pm, Monday - Friday. Applicants are expected to be flexible to meet changing demands of the service.
