Overall purpose of the role:

Key activities:

The following reflects the main tasks associated with the position of Maintenance Fitter:

Adhere to Company Health & Safety working practices and legislative regulations
Maintain & implement planned, preventative and predicative maintenance as per schedules for all equipment and plant and report key findings.
Participate in review of all equipment OEE and react in order to maintain production levels taking account of quality parameters, safety parameters and the engineering requirements of the plant.
Ensure all plant and equipment is operationally safe and complies with the relevant legislation.
Maintain all records, documentation and literature in compliance with company safety, health, environmental and quality standards
Work with production to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the production process
Communicate with appointed contractors to ensure planned activities are successfully completed
Perform the job in accordance with the company's policies and procedures
Perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from timetotime.

Qualifications / Experience:

Recognised trade qualification in plant maintenance and 5 years relevant industry experience
Experience in fabrication and welding
Working knowledge and experience of pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems connected with sand washing equipment
Working knowledge and experience of oxygen/acetylene cutting equipment
Driving Licence

Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical downtime issues and resolve to root cause.
Proficient in maintenance task planning, scheduling and recording
Analytical skills
