Overall purpose of the role:


Key activities:

The following reflects the main tasks associated with the position of Maintenance Fitter:

  • Adhere to Company Health & Safety working practices and legislative regulations
  • Maintain & implement planned, preventative and predicative maintenance as per schedules for all equipment and plant and report key findings.
  • Participate in review of all equipment OEE and react in order to maintain production levels taking account of quality parameters, safety parameters and the engineering requirements of the plant.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment is operationally safe and complies with the relevant legislation.
  • Maintain all records, documentation and literature in compliance with company safety, health, environmental and quality standards
  • Work with production to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the production process
  • Communicate with appointed contractors to ensure planned activities are successfully completed
  • Perform the job in accordance with the company's policies and procedures
  • Perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from timetotime.

Qualifications / Experience:


  • Recognised trade qualification in plant maintenance and 5 years relevant industry experience
  • Experience in fabrication and welding
  • Working knowledge and experience of pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems connected with sand washing equipment
  • Working knowledge and experience of oxygen/acetylene cutting equipment
  • Driving Licence
