Nutrition and Dietetic Service Administrative Lead, Band 5, 30hours / week 0.8WTE. Work base to be negotiated.


We are looking for a highly experienced, dynamic service administrative lead to join our forward thinking Health Board wide Nutrition and Dietetic service.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the senior team advising on, planning and leading delivery of high quality, prudent administrative services across the service.

They will manage the administrative team, act as the lead for the service in relation to the continued digitisation of information management working closely with colleagues in Informatics and Therapy support services, undertake a wide range of administrative functions including some personal assistant functions and lead on a range of service data and reporting.

You will be joining an ambitious, friendly, supportive team working across a wide range of specialities.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate good communication skills to liaise with a wide range of people including service users and other health care professionals, be able to both lead and work effectively as a team member and possess the ability to support, inform and influence.


The Health Board work base is negotiable; the post holder will be required to travel to other Health Board sites to fulfil the role.


Manages and leads administration of the Nutrition and Dietetic service Health Board wide, ensuring consistent standards of administration are delivered efficiently and effectively across the service.


Develops, implements and monitors service wide procedures and processes relating to administration for Nutrition and Dietetics Health Board wide aligning with Health Board systems, policies and digital developments.


Responsible for the planning, delivery, development, and monitoring of the work of the administration team across Nutrition & Dietetics ensuring delivery of a comprehensive fit for purpose administrative service.

Responsible for the planning, production, analysis and reporting of delegated service data and information.

Undertakes delegated personal assistant functions for the Head of Service.

Takes an active and advisory role in service senior forums and other service and multi-professional meetings as required.

Works collaboratively with other Therapy services.


Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties.

Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.

Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest;

Seven community hospitals:
Amman Valley and Llandovery in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron, Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire;
48 general practices (five of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
