We are looking for an experienced Geospatial Advisor for an immediate start ongoing temporary assignment based in Cardiff.

Providing technical support to the Geospatial Team Leader, Adviser and Specialist in providing integrated spatial data service, managing corporate spatial data collection and the creation and design of map products and services as defined in the Knowledge andGIS Strategies.

Duties will include:

Providing a specialist digitising service to create core reference spatial data for various departments
Produce high quality mapping, manipulation, transformation, and statistical analysis of GIS data to provide the business with the evidence to fulfil its remit and advise staff on corporate styles
Manage archive of aerial imagery, maps, and spatial data on both paper and digital media
Providing technical advice and draft guidance for all staff and contractors
Design, produce and publish bespoke maps and GIS data in electronic and paper media
Manage and maintain core reference spatial data
Excellent spatial data management skills and experience in GIS digitising and managing spatial data in a business context
Experience in creating map products and map styling; including setting standard and style guides and creating online view of spatial data

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
