We are customer-centric, supportive, inclusive organisation, and our goal is to provide dedicated health, well-being and leisure services/activities for disabled people and people living with a long term condition, throughout the North East of England.

FTE £21,933 per annum year 1, rising to £ 22, 591 in year 2 - (Pro rata for 25 hours per week - Tuesday - Friday)
Support delivery of accessible, inclusive fitness, leisure and well being opportunities/activities across the North East region. Primary delivery will be at our base (Redby Community Centre, Fulwell, Sunderland).
Also responsible for working at other local outreach locations to support service delivery, to drive engagement and our reach, helping service users feel fitter, well and more connected with their local community.
Outline of duties/Job Description
- To oversee/manage project planning, delivery and evaluation aligned to project activities outlined in the project plan.
- Monitor the performance of the project, to ensure key deliverables and expected outputs are achieved.
- Act professionally and with integrity with clients and other key stakeholders. Maintain confidentiality where applicable.
- Liaise regularly with partners, funders and the Tailored Leisure Team, to ensure the project stays on track and achieves its outcomes.
- Support our marketing contacts and personnel in the effective advertising of the project and key events to drive awareness and participation.
- Support the implementation of evaluation activity to effectively measure the performance of the project/programme, collating feedback on good practice and improvement areas, to support continuous improvement of the organisation.
- Attend project plan meetings with board members, to provide updates and identify any lessons learned.
- Attentively support the needs of the service users.
- Follow our safeguarding and equality and diversity policies in operational delivery.
- Support the management and development of Tailored Leisure volunteers.
- Create reports to feed into project delivery requirements.
- Ensure the accurate completion of attendance registers.
- Contribute and work in the parameters of onsite Risk Assessments
- Support with the management of facilities and maintain H&S standards
- Attend CPD sessions.
- Support delivery of social and fundraiser events
- Support access audits of local businesses
- Work in line with our company values to drive change and achieve our organisational aims.
Person Specification:

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:_
- Grade A to C in English and Maths
- Able to write reports to good English Standard
- Able to collate, interpret statistical data and translate/present info into reports/graphical formats
- Experience working with vulnerable groups in a community environment.
- Knowledge/experience in following GDPR, safeguarding/equality and diversity policies
- Experience in planning, organising and evaluating events and projects within agreed timelines
- Experience leading people and tasks
Desirable Skills, Qualifications and Experience:_
- Level 2 Qualification
- Experience working with adults and children with disabilities.
- Knowledge of charity and voluntary sectors
- Experienced in the creation of well being programmes/activities.
- Experience and knowledge of effective evaluation methods and quality/progress monitoring systems and procedures.
- Experience of supporting, leading and developing volunteers
