Are you an experienced Raw Material Controller looking for a new opportunity?
A prestigious well known manufacturer of car parts based in Walsall, WS1 4JW is seeking a Raw materials controller to join their team.
As a tier one supplier of car parts, they have been providing high-quality products to their customers for over 60 years.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating the Raw Material stores and its associated systems in the Warehouse to the mutual benefit of both the company and its suppliers and customers alike.
Responsibilities:
- To provide the manufacturing departments with the raw materials required in a timely manner
- Ensure all raw material is properly identified by Part Number and Batch Number, safely stored and quantity correct to ensure a full support to the production effort.
- Raw materials to be removed from location only on presentation of a properly documented requisition. On issue of raw material, in Batch Number sequence, the detail of the issue is to be recorded, quantity, location, to be added to the appropriate booking system.
- Conduct regular perpetual inventory stock checks to ensure accuracy of physical stock computer records. To maintain, proper receipt, storage and Advice Note check of work being returned from subcontractor.
- To implement physical/visual stock monitoring to provide to Management early warning of potential stock out situations and to communicate this to appropriate departments. To participate in company stock takes as and when these may be required.
- To assist and support the Warehouse Controller and Data Entry Clerk to perform their duties positively and effectively.
- To be responsible for the maintenance of a clean and tidy work environment with all raw materials to be properly and tidily located and recorded on the system respecting provisions of current Health & Safety Regulations.
- To operate electric Reach /Counterbalance Flt, as a support to the shift Warehouse FLT Driver Raw Material /Warehouse service to all company functions to achieve a crisp and effective materials location and retrieval service.
- To operate as part of the total Warehouse Team assisting in all Warehouse disciplines but particularly in so far as this affects movements to Production from the Warehouse.
RTITB Reach Truck Driving Certification
Used to operating Stores Computer Systems
Able communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to be a team player
Reliable - good time keeper
Good telephone manner
Conscientious
2 years experience in Industrial/Engineering Consumables Store Systems
Pay rate £12.00 per hour paid weekly.
If you are interested and able to work full time from Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.00pm from Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 1.
