Job Title:
Travel Consultant (entry level) Salary: £21,500 per annum + circa £2000 bonus
Location: Welwyn Garden City (3 days in the office, 2 from home) Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm plus Saturday 9am-1pm on a rota basis
An exciting opportunity for an individual looking to kick start their career within the Travel and Tourism sector You may be an individual with a passion for travel, or perhaps you have completed a Travel and Tourism qualification and are now looking to put it into practice


This is a consultative role, offering first class customer service to your valued customers, converting initial enquiries to processing final bookings.


The Role:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to customers when selecting their holiday from a range of worldwide destinations
  • Upsell and cross sell wherever possible
  • Build strong customer relationships through excellent customer service
  • Respond to prospective clients promptly
  • Work closely and build good working relationships with the tour leaders
  • Handle customer queries
  • Occasionally attend trade shows and educations/UK trips
    Skills/Experience Required:
  • An enthusiasm for travel
  • Previous customer service or sales experience would be highly beneficial
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • IT proficiency
  • Microsoft Office and quick to pick up new systems
  • A love of the outdoors would be advantageous
