An opportunity has arisen to add an Italian speaking Customer Service Representative to our team supporting Food Safety in EMEA


Following our merger with 3M Food Safety, an opportunity has arisen to add an Italian speaking Customer Service Representative to the team supporting Food Safety in EMEA.

This person will join our existing Food Safety customer service team supporting direct customers and channel partners throughout EMEA.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver on objectives including new customer creation and order processing while working collaboratively with EMEA sales teams to deliver best in class customer service
  • Be familiar with internal sales and invoicing systems
  • Take responsibility for starting the new customer process for legacy 3M products
  • Assisting with customer complaints and where required raise CRM cases to log and monitor complaint, through to resolution.
  • Participating in order taking and processing. Where required promptly sending certificates of analysis and technical documents (eg Material Safety Data Sheets)to customers.
  • Keeping customers up to date on any back orders.
  • Processing credit notes for customers as and when required.
  • Raise internal requisitions to order marketing materials, office supplies and sample collection pack supplies.
  • Generating proforma invoices and kit orders for customers that require to pay upfront.
  • Set up pending files for standing orders. Maintain record of completed reagent rental forms. Highlight expiry date to responsible rep.
  • Assisting with customer supplier questionnaires and liaising with Head of Quality to ensure completion of the forms.
  • Acting as back up for other Customer Service departments within organisation and when colleagues in the Customer Services team are not available.
  • Ensuring CRM database is updated and maintained with correct data for companies and contacts, including special pricing and GDPR updates.
  • Liaising with Accounts department to assist in resolving issues when customer accounts are placed on hold.
  • Keeping up to date with new product launches and updates provided by marketing and product management departments.

Knowledge, skills and experience required includes:

  • Fluency in Italian language
  • Previous customer service experience within a technical sales environment or food related business is advatageous.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organisation, IT skills and telephone skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Experience of using SAGE CRM and/or Salesforce and Excel would be beneficial
