Who we're looking for


The primary focus of the team assistant will be to provide administrative support to team members whose work is focused on providing governance support and advice to a diverse range of Schroders Group companies, including regulated entities and private assets vehicles.

Team Assistant will have experience supporting a busy team, ideally within a governance environment and/or in financial services.

Team Assistant will have extensive experience in diary management, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills and proven experience providing administrative support to a busy team.

The team


The Asset Management Governance team is a friendly, experienced, and inclusive team of 12 individuals who collaborate extensively with the wider Schroders business.

We are one half of the UK Governance team (the other half being the Corporate and Wealth Management Governance team).

The business considers us to be trusted advisors, and we work hard to maintain that confidence and overall excellence.

What you'll do

Monitoring team inbox and disseminating messages to the team.
Manage Head of Asset Management Governance's diary.
Onboarding new joiners.
Managing invoices and expenses per Schroders's procedures.
Dealing with post.
Manage the team diary.
Schedule meetings, book meeting rooms, and arrange appropriate audio-visual requirements
Maintain statutory registers.

File documents with Companies House including appointments and terminations and changes in Directors details and other government bodies as necessary, including those overseas in respect of overseas branches and subsidiaries.

Collate and prepare board packs, collaborating with the business.
Maintain the team org chart.
Maintain the Governance intranet site and facilitate its periodic review.
Collate corporate information across databases to answer due diligence requests.
User administration for Board Intelligence (electronic Board papers) platform.
Maintain team procedures, in liaison with other team members as appropriate.
Help to maintain the authorised signatory's framework for asset management regulated entities in the UK.
Attend to requests for certified copies of board resolutions and registers.
Maintain the resources shelves of the asset management entities; and
Help identify and implement efficiencies and improved working practices where possible.
Providing support for the statutory year end accounts process.
Administering insider lists on the Insider track system.
Preparing skeleton meeting minutes; and

Participating in other ad hoc projects and undertake any other duties as assigned by the Head of Asset Management Governance.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

Experience working as a team assistant is required for this role.
High degree of accuracy, meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to both routine and complex tasks
Competent computer skills, with a strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills an advantage
  • Experience of using Board Intelligence, Blueprint/Diligent Entities and Worksite/Imanage would be an advantage, but not a prerequisite
