Overview of Role

The Implementation team was created in 2013 to take over the transactional management of our portfolios from the Portfolio Managers and provide a centralised approach in calculating and taking all orders to market.

Today, the team are dedicated to converting investment decisions and client instructions into trades, on approximately 945 containers, whilst also assisting with the co-ordination of Bespoke portfolios, client directed and advisory trades.

Responsibilities:

Implementation and checking of security and fund trades, as directed by the investment managers and client advisors, using our Portfolio Management system, Avaloq
Monitor underlying currency exposure and adjust FX hedges as required across all client portfolios

Cash management

General queries from internal teams and third parties
Working closely with dealing teams in relation to live orders
Involvement with back office (settlements, fund administration and reconciliation) where required
Take ultimate responsibility for ensuring client portfolios stay on model within a prescribed set of guidelines
Responsibility for performing a variety of portfolio analysis to effectively manage a large book of business
Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of the portfolio management system and the team processes, as the team continues to grow and evolve

Have an analytical mind and be able to maintain high accuracy levels whilst working under pressure
Ability to effectively prioritise individual responsibilities with competing workloads across the team
Be solutions focussed, with a problem solving mindset
Capable of communicating across multiple areas of a business and to colleagues at different levels of seniority

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

Good understanding of Financial Markets
IMC qualified / part qualified (Or equivalent)
35 years of experience in the industry, with particular exposure to an Investment implementation / Portfolio Management team being preferred
