Description

A superb opportunity for a Commercial Interior Designer to join a dynamic, progressive Design and Build contractor as they begin to build their own in-house design team.

Company

Established over fifteen years ago, this is an ambitious, evolving, growing yet carefully managed privately owned business; a team of highly skilled, motivated and positive people who are passionate about what they do and who are able to provide exciting, fulfilling and progressive opportunities to like-minded future colleagues.

The company has a unique offering to its client base on account of how it has developed its service provision over the years and on account of this is managing, and continuing to win, an enviable portfolio of work in the interiors market.

Its consultative approach, and the team's ability to listen and work with a real desire to find the best value added solutions for clients, has ensured an excellent reputation in the market place and has enabled the company to secure its place on key frameworks for further access to additional highly desirable workstreams.

Operating locally and competing nationally, this is a close team where team members work collaboratively with each other, with clients and other specialist agents; an exciting place to be for the career-minded.

The Role

On account of growth, and with an eye to both the immediate and the longer term benefits to both business performance and the client experience, the company's strategic move is now to build its own interior design team, starting with the appointment of an experienced Commercial Interior Designer.

The team is looking forward to welcoming a new team member with experience, expertise and enthusiasm to contribute to client projects from initial project assessment, space planning, mood board, concept design, preparation of layout and detailed design in CAD, production of internal finishes and specifications and coordinating the FF&E schedule.

Future progression will of course be encouraged as the company continues to grow its workload and expand its geographical coverage, and also as the need to grow the design team naturally comes as a result of that.

Experience Required

This is a role for an interior designer with experience of transitioning projects from workplace assessment and brief taking, concept design to detailed developed design and project completion.

Ideally, applicants will be degree qualified in Interior Architecture/Design and furthermore will be able to demonstrate some experience in such a role post-qualification, with the emphasis on commercial/workplace projects.

This may present an opportunity for an individual to make the move into a design and build contracting environment from an architectural practice/ design house.

Likewise, it is a very attractive opportunity for someone in a large national outfit who may enjoy working in a smaller, more personal team environment, where decisions are made in the room with the surrounding team, and where personal contribution is visible and recognised.

Remuneration
£40,000 to £45,000 per annum plus additional benefits which will be discussed during the interview process, such as flexible working and so on.

This is a permanent position and Corepeople Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for permanent recruitment on behalf of our client.
