Wokingham Borough Council is looking for an Interim Strategy and Commissioning Officer to join the Strategy, Commissioning, and Performance services team.


Reporting to:
Head of Service Strategic Commissioning (Children's)


Working closely with the Head of Service for Strategic Commissioning (Children's) and other team members, this role will be pivotal in shaping the direction and vision of Children's Services in Wokingham. Responsibilities include overseeing the development and implementation of effective strategies and policies to support objectives.

Hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Experience in writing strategies for Children's Services
  • Completing NEEDS Assessments
  • Engaging with various stakeholders
  • Prior experience in a similar role

Person Specification

Qualifications:

Essential Desirable

Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant professional expertise
Working towards a management qualification
Evidence of continuous personal and professional development
Membership of a relevant professional body
