£40,000 - £50,000 dependent on experience + bonus + benefits

The opportunity:


MBDA are at the forefront of the one of the most exciting and challenging programmes within Defence - to design and deliver a Future Combat Air Systems (FCAS) for the RAF and international partners in record time.

This is your opportunity to be at the heartof this once in a generation, transformational initiative.

  • This role offers an opportunity for development in a fast growing team with opportunities to travel within the UK to enterprise partner sites, expanding to international partners with experience.
  • Work across a large breadth of engineering disciplines, utilising MBDAs wealth of Technical Experts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to expand your knowledge and expertise.
  • Influence wider international strategy and ongoing activities, including bidding for future work.

What we're looking for from you:

  • An enthusiastic and self-motivated engineer to plan, control and deliver assigned projects or work packages.
  • Proven technical management background, ideally across the full systems lifecycle.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a collaborative environment both physically and virtually is essential.
  • Experience planning, supporting, coordinating and presenting at internal and external reviews, including customer facing.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with the wider engineering team, including relevant SMEs.
  • Actively engage with customers across the business to maximise agile collaboration.
  • Ability to produce and develop engineering artefacts, coordinating with the Business Functions (including Business Development, B&P and Commercial).
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities in a constantly evolving environment
  • Ability to coordinate with a dynamic fast paced team against challenging timescales
  • Commercial, security and data export awareness
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent.

Ideally:

  • Experience of Agile methodologies and principles.
  • Technical management experience of one or more small (
  • Knowledge of systems design analysis tools e.g. Pugh Matrix / QFD / etc.
  • Experience working within a crossindustry or customer collaborator environment
  • Good working experiences in more than one phase of the engineering life cycle, with sufficient experience of the total life cycle to ensure a good understanding of adjacent phases and throughlife engineering issues
  • Substantial analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of customer and user requirements
