We are excited to be recruiting for a
Food Hygiene Trainer to deliver operational Hygiene and Food safety training to ensure our colleagues in the Hygiene Department have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their role.

This is a brand-new role, permanent position, based in Prepworld Northfleet Factory, and is an amazing opportunity to make a real impact


Main Duties:

  • Plan and deliver effective and engaging training to Hygiene team, focusing on regulatory and mandatory training.

This includes providing the following training:

Hygiene cleaning methodology, processing equipment, PPE, GPM, Health & Safety, COSHH, environmental swabbing, Compliance/BRCGS food safety and SOP Cleaning cards.


  • Provide learners with all relevant information e.g. policies, SOPs and regulations to clarify what is expected from them and to ensure their safety
  • Train and support shop floor Hygiene workers.
  • Providing post training follow up for Hygiene members.
  • Monitor and review the progress of each learner through training matrix levels, observations and discussions with their line Managers and Supervisor.
  • Liaise weekly with Food Safety & Hygiene Manager/ Supervisor on training requirements and team's performance.
  • Keep up to date with all administration work and maintenance of the Hygiene training database within the defined timescales, ensuring all training is logged correctly
  • Generate SOP's, CIC, video content and training manuals whenever new equipment or procedure is to be implemented
  • Keep up to date SOP List and document control.
  • Assess operatives, and Team Leaders knowledge to identify training needs with line Manager/Supervisor.
  • Review the production areas/ lines in observation of inappropriate/unsafe conditions. Corrects and retrains employees showing behaviour that is contrary to good practice
  • Generate a weekly training report, per procedure and per area.
  • Documents and identifies trends involving employees, tools, or jobs/tasks to identify areas for improvement to maintain efficiency and food safety.
  • Work across shifts and at times, handson to gain an understanding of the Hygiene processes and current training methods.
  • Assist in developing new training or methods of training such as video recording
  • Set example and enforce company policies and procedures.

  • HACCP

  • H&S
  • GCSE English A-C (or equivalent)
  • GCSE Maths A-C (or equivalent)

  • Working knowledge of production and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of food safety, H&S procedures and requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate staff and colleagues
  • Demonstrable attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve and make effective decisions
  • Strong ability to selflearning and effective teaching
  • Selforganised approach and the ability to plan a workload
  • Patient and Understanding

Days and Hours of Work
Monday to Friday 6pm to 3am


Salary:
£ £14.90
