Spares, Tendering and Contracts Coordinator
Jackson Hogg is excited to be working with a well-established manufacturer in their search of a Spares, Tendering and Contracts Coordinator.
The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in South Shields for a Spares Tendering and Contracts Co-Ordinator to join a growing business.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the Spares Tendering and Contracts Co-Ordinator will work with the wider team in supporting and advising key stakeholders.
Duties will include
- To establish lines of communication directly with customers or via commercial advisors as appropriate to clarify requirements
- To calculate the estimated works cost based upon price list / estimate / previous cost performance or comparative estimation
- To liaise with the sales team to determine the price to be quoted on those occasions where the established rules cannot be applied
- To seek the appropriate approval to quote when the tender value exceeds the limits of authority
- To create sales quotations within the ERP system
- To maintain the integrity of the information within the ERP system
- To review the terms and conditions of contracts where these are dictated by the customer, with the assistance of other members of the bid and sales teams as required
- To convert sales quotations to customer orders within the ERP system, performing contract reviews, allocating contract requirements, and acknowledging customer orders
- To monitor customer orders during the life of the contract and liaising with the customer on any contract amendments / costs / implications and appraising of progress as required by the contract
- To comply with departmental / company procedures whilst tendering and processing orders
- To work in a safe manner, driving positive behaviour and leading by example regarding the company's health, safety and environmental policies
- To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected
The person
- Good written and verbal communication skills are a must as is proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- The successful applicant must have a flexible attitude with excellent problemsolving skills, as well as a high standard of numeracy. They will demonstrate a positive, innovative, and motivated approach to their work combined with an ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
- 37 Hours per week
- Thursday: 7:30am 4pm
- 7:30am 12pm
