About the Role

Base Location:
Glasgow, Perth, Edinburgh, Inverness or Aberdeen.


Salary:
£47,872 - £55,653 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.


Working Pattern:
Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available


As Portfolio Co-ordinator, you will perform and co-ordinate the core Portfolio Office functions including portfolio-level reporting, document management, portfolio governance and assurance.


Key responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Working with, assisting and supporting the PMO Manager to develop the intelligent PMO.
  • Implementation of support processes for the PMO.
  • Monitor the portfolio of projects and programmes from inception to closure, ensuring that the delivery is on time, within budget, minimising potential risks and assessing to make sure it meets all strategic objectives.
  • Coaching and mentoring the PMO team.

What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Have experience of working at a responsible level in a Programme Management Office or Portfolio Office.
  • Ideally have experience of working as a Project Manager.
  • Experience of SSE wide and SSE IT processes including safety, resourcing, financial management, status reporting and risk management is advantageous but not essential.
  • Good working knowledge of key project processes, including status reporting, budgeting and estimating, planning, dependency management, risk and issue management, quality gates and change management.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a highpressure environment is crucial.
