About Our Client:

My client is a leading business within their sector and have grown their manufacturing capacity in recent years.

They are looking for a Payroll Officer to join their small team in Leeds who will work 30 hours a week with another member of the payroll team.

This role will involve assisting on a weekly payroll, running a monthly payroll, and reporting.

This role can be hybrid working from home up to 2 days a week.

  • Responsible for the delivery of complex payroll, pensions and reconciliations across the site
  • Working closely with the HR to support the development of payroll process improvements
  • Resolving pay queries
  • Input and process payroll data in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure all payroll related payments are processed and reported and pension contributions for the various company schemes is uploaded within deadlines.
  • To resolve and provide advice and guidance on payroll queries from employees, HMRC, and other 3rd parties
  • Calculating a variety of changes to pay including, overtime, weekending, bank holiday rates etc

The Successful Applicant:


  • Experience in weekly and monthly payments
  • Experience with complex and changing rates (including overtime, weekend, bank holidays)
  • Keen eye for details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge with MS Office Applications
