IT Support Technician

Key Responsibilities as our IT Support Technician will include:

  • Act as the point of contact for first contact issues. Logging all work requests on internal ticketing system and keeping users up to date with tickets.
  • Escalating tickets or issues to senior management where appropriate if issue cannot be resolved internally and managing these tickets.
  • Liaising with 3rd Party companies to ensure computer and telephony systems and software are operating to agreed service levels.
  • End user management using AD and Azure AD, maintenance of AD and Azure AD and to remove leavers in a timely fashion, maintaining security groups, group policy.
  • Setup of Computers, Mobile Devices and other peripherals.
  • Assisting the business with departmental moves as and where necessary. This will involve moving PC's and phones to new location, reconfiguring links and testing (may include some out of hours work to mínimalize disruption).
  • Installing and upgrading new or existing software on client machines, ensuring that this is done efficiently with mínimal disruption and to a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Maintain corporate security in line with and assisting to the IT Security Engineer
  • Ensuring adherence to the IT Security Policy and monitoring the network for any security risks or breaches and acting accordingly in the event of a risk or a breach.
  • Using discretion always on sensitive information that is known in the IT department.
  • Any other reasonable request made by a Director/Manager of the organisation

What we are looking for in our ideal IT Support Technician:


Experience:


  • Active Directory
  • Windows Server (desirable)
  • Windows 10 and above
  • Microsoft Office and 365 products
  • Microsoft Azure/365 experience
  • Experience with Exchange Online
  • Mobile Device Management (Tablets, Mobile Phones)
  • Understanding Security principles
  • Financial Services experience (desirable)
