At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work.

The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday.

However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.


Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.


Role


Reporting directly to the Network and Retail Development Section Manager, this role is central to the effective development of the Honda Motor Europe UK (HME-UK) Power Products (PP) dealer network.


This role will manage the planning, development and implementation of development programmes which will produce a high quality, competitive, viable and customer-focussed dealer network.


The role holder will enjoy the challenges of working together with the Power Products management team and must be capable of taking on a demanding role.


Main Responsibilities
Franchising Support

  • Working closely with the PP Franchising Section Manager to support, coordinate and administer franchising process for key activity including
  • Franchising Applications, New Dealer set ups, Dealer terminations, Dealer closures, Internal Network updates and Customer communications.
  • Working closely with Franchising Section Managers and National Franchising Department Manager to support, coordinate and administer franchising process for key activity including
  • Franchising Applications, New Dealer set ups, Dealer terminations, Dealer closures, Internal Network updates and Customer communications.
  • Key HME-UK system owner
  • Dealer maintenance, DCMS, DWA (Honda internal systems)
  • Key HME-UK system operator
  • SAP, NTIC, DCIW, SNOW, COUPA. (Honda systems)
  • Maintenance of all Dealer files
  • Automobile, Motorcycles, Power Products


  • Dealer Agreements

  • Issue and termination of dealer agreements and maintenance of DCMS database and GDPR corporate audit adherence
  • Maintain strong relationships and good communication as appropriate with key internal stakeholders
  • HME-UK credit/accounts receivable, Honda Finance Europe, HME-Legal, HME-Logistics, Honda Institute, PCC, Master Data team.
  • Maintain relationships and effective communication with key external agencies.
Business Terms

  • Support the annual review of the dealer business terms for each product category (L&G, Industrial, Marine, ATV) to ensure they are implemented in a timely manner in advance of each new season.
  • Publish the latest Business Terms in an appropriate format for communication to the Power Products dealer network and field managers.
  • Ensure that payment of margin elements related to the Business Terms can be expediently paid to dealers and monitor payments relative to budget.
  • Support with reviewing budget spend related to Business Terms.
Minimum Franchise Standards / Dealer Operating Standards

  • Provide assistance to HME-PP and Network & Retail Section Manager with the reintroduction of Minimum Franchised Standards for the UK Power Products dealer network. Jointly develop and implement the standards if deemed appropriate.
  • Support the review of the suitability and benefits of introducing Dealer Operating standards for the Power Product dealer network. Develop and implement if appropriate.
Dealer Training and Development

  • Liaise with Honda Institute, Sales Area Manager's and Dealer Councils to determine dealer training requirements, plan and implement new model sales and aftersales training programmes.
  • Plan effectively and balance the volume of training required by the 4 dealer networks, advising the Sales Operational Managers on available programmes to correlate with Business Terms needs.
  • Ensure publication of training prospectus on a regular basis.
Dealer Corporate Identity

  • Liaise with HME-PP to agree development of the CI equipment to best fit the varying needs of the network and manage the supply and storage where necessary.
  • Manage new dealer CI orders and ensure correct and timely ordering.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Required

  • Knowledge of Dealer operations is essential.
  • Understanding of dealer programmes.
  • Driven team player with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Well organised, deadlineorientated, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to effectively prioritise and work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and right first time.
  • Good numeracy with advanced PC skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
