Debtor Remediation Officer
Role Location:
Jersey, Channel Islands
- This is a fixed term contract for
6 months.
Role purpose:
- Provide support to Director Client Services producing KPI's and management information, data analysis, documenting systems and processes.
- With guidance, carry out duties in a professional manner and in accordance with policies and procedures, legal/regulatory requirements, service levels and company standards to meet with business expectations, with the support of other members of the team, when required.
Job Specification:
- Processing and recording transactions.
- Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.
- Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are uptodate.
- Working with the client teams to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms.
- Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and arranging transfers/loans between companies
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into the software or databases
- Generating reports and statements for internal use
- Verbal communication & presentation: structure and communicate ideas and information clearly and effectively, 1:1 and with colleagues
- Written communication: with guidance, produce all written communication to a high standard of accuracy

- **Skills required**:
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and debt collection regulations
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
- Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
- Good organizational and timemanagement abilities
- Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
- Knowledge of relevant legal requirements
- Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
- Excellent communication and people skills
