Description

Our client is a highly respected transport planning consultancy firm based in Bristol who provide transport planning, modelling and engineering solutions to public and private sector clients across the UK.

Their team of experienced transport planners are committed to delivering sustainable and cost-effective transport solutions that meet the needs of their clients.


They seek a highly motivated Graduate Transport Planner, preferably with an M.Sc in Transport Planning to join our team in Bristol, UK.

As a Graduate Transport Planner, you will work closely with their experienced team of transport planners and engineers to provide a range of transport planning services to their clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the delivery of transport planning projects, including the preparation of reports, feasibility studies, transport assessments, travel plans, and parking studies.
  • Undertake data collection and analysis, including the use of transport modelling software, to support the development of transport planning strategies and solutions.
  • Conduct research and provide technical support to more senior members of the team on a range of transport planning issues, including sustainable transport modes, transport policy, and transport economics.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and other professionals to ensure that transport planning projects are delivered to a high standard and within budget and timescale.
  • Contribute to the preparation of bids and proposals for new work, including the preparation of cost estimates and work schedules.

Requirements:


  • A degree in civil engineering, geography, or a related field is essential, and an M.Sc in Transport Planning is highly desirable.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills, and a commitment to delivering highquality work.
