Are you an experienced Quality Technician with knowledge of first principle measuring techniques?

Do you have experience of inspecting sheet metal?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity in Staplehurst for a Quality Technician to work for one of our clients who is best in their class for performance and reliability in their product.

In this role you would be working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Our client is offering a competitive salary of £22,000 - £28,000 depending on experience.

As the Quality Technician your responsibilities would include:

Final inspection of sheet metal & machined components to drawings manufactured in the engineering plant
Inspection of incoming raw materials and subcontract operations
Inprocess inspection of parts
Maintaining all quality records
Assisting the quality engineer with nonconforming investigations
Meeting production deadlines for orders, ensuring all aspects of daytoday inspection duties are met
Supporting the quality team in discussions with suppliers & customers over concerns & issues
Assisting with ISO9001 management system duties
Other duties as deemed reasonable

Person Specification:

Some experience of fine limit sheet metal inspection or relevant experience from a comparable manufacturing background
Experience of using measurement equipment
A good understanding of reading engineering drawings, tolerances and first principle measuring techniques
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficient IT skills
Excellent communication skills
Experience use of CMM/ Optical Machines
Experience of ERP systems
